Leadership Giving

Guide to Leadership Giving

Behind every United Way contribution is a very personal and powerful commitment to human need. Our Leadership Giving Societies are comprised of a powerful group of individuals who share a similar passion for investing in the community and making a difference.

Whether you choose to donate your leadership gift through monthly payments, a one-time payment, or through your company, your investment will make a difference in the lives of others.

Tocqueville Society

Tocqueville Society is a community of like-minded individuals who invest $10,000 or more each year and believe together we can change lives and transform communities.

Potomac Society

Donors who give $750 or more each year become members of United Way’s Potomac Society. This vital group believes our community is worth a significant personal investment. Their generosity reflects a strong commitment to advancing the common good and providing community solutions in the core areas of education, income and health.

Emerging Young Leaders

Emerging Young Leaders are the next generation of business and community leaders who believe in giving back to our community. Young professionals (under 45) who make a $120 annual gift to United Way of the Eastern Panhandle are eligible to join. This group comes together throughout the year for exclusive networking, volunteering, and professional development opportunities.

In addition to the personal satisfaction you’ll get from making a significant and lasting community impact, other benefits of joining our Leadership Giving Societies include:

• Your name listed (with your permission) in the annual report

• Recognition of your generosity from professional colleagues, company management, neighbors, friends and family

• Invitations to attend United Way events throughout the year
