2017 Warming Hands and Hearts Campaign Success

The 2017 Warming Hands and Hearts Campaign was once again a tremendous success because of the generosity of our community.

The fundraising campaign ran from February through April. During the 3-month period, ROCS Convenience Stores offered a “One-Cent Wednesday” promotion where each ROCS location in West Virginia donated one cent per gallon of gasoline sold. Roach Energy also contributed one cent per gallon of oil or propane that their customers purchased when requesting a delivery from their Warming Hands and Hearts truck. Additionally, ROCS and Roach Energy donate $1 for every new “Like” on Facebook during this time. Customers were also invited to compete in the “WHH17 Selfie Challenge” which resulted in a $5 donation per selfie from ROCS.

The 2017 Warming Hands and Hearts Initiative raised $10,011 during the campaign. Roach Energy and ROCS Convenience Stores donated total funds in the amount of $8,699.

These funds will provide much needed heating assistance through the Warming Hands and Hearts Initiative with Roach Energy, ROCS Convenience Stores and the Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR).

Special thanks to the many individuals who participated and to our sponsors ROCS Convenience Stores and Roach Energy.

Thank you for helping to keep the heat on for families in the Eastern Panhandle.
