PROCTER & GAMBLE DONATES $140,000 TO UNITED WAY

MARTINSBURG, WV – Procter & Gamble (P&G) employees have pledged $140,000 to United Way of the Eastern Panhandle as part of their 2018 United Way Campaign.

On Tuesday, February 5, the campaign team at Procter & Gamble presented a check to United Way CEO Penny Porter and Director of Resource Development and Marketing Heather Polinik representing the final total from its United Way workplace campaign.

“The Tabler Station Procter & Gamble site is pleased to announce that we’ve raised $140,000 to be donated to United Way of The Eastern Panhandle. We at Procter & Gamble are committed to supporting the communities where we live and work. I am proud to see the way that our employees are bringing that commitment to life,” commented Jaquar Moorman, 2018 P&G United Way Campaign Coordinator.

Procter & Gamble was named United Way’s Gold Award Winner in 2018 and continues to demonstrate their commitment to give back to the residents of the Eastern Panhandle through payroll deductions, special events, and community volunteering.

“We remain extremely grateful to P&G and their employees for believing in the work we do at United Way,” said Penny Porter, CEO of United Way of the Eastern Panhandle. “They committed to a partnership with us before their buildings were constructed or product ever left a shelf, and that highlights their commitment to our community.”

With funds raised during last year’s community campaign, United Way of the Eastern Panhandle currently supports 48 programs throughout Berkeley, Morgan and Jefferson counties in the areas of education, financial stability, health, basic needs and crisis services.

“We are thrilled with the increase in their campaign this year as we know it will allow us to help more individuals and families across the Eastern Panhandle,” added Porter.
