MARTINSBURG, WV – Procter & Gamble (P&G) employees have pledged more than $105,000 to United Way of the Eastern Panhandle as part of their 2017 United Way Campaign.

On Friday, January 12, Procter & Gamble revealed the final total from its United Way workplace campaign.  A check for $105,081 was presented to United Way CEO Penny Porter and Director of Resource Development and Marketing Heather Polinik.

“The Tabler Station Procter & Gamble site is proud to announce that we’ve raised more than $105,000 to be donated to United Way of The Eastern Panhandle. We at Procter & Gamble are committed to partnering with United Way to provide avenues of hope for all,” commented Jaquar Moorman, 2017 Campaign Coordinator.

Procter & Gamble is part of United Way’s Global Corporate Leader Program and has a rich history of helping the communities in which its employees live and work. From payroll deductions, special events, and community volunteering, Moorman said the more than 330 employees at P&G Tabler Station have a commitment to give back to the residents of the Eastern Panhandle.

United Way’s annual fundraising campaign aims to raise $1 million dollars in this year’s Community Campaign. The non-profit currently provides financial resources to 34 programs at 29 partner agencies throughout Berkeley, Morgan and Jefferson counties.

“P&G is a strong supporter of United Way and our mission. We are extremely grateful to each of their employees for their generosity and their commitment to making a difference in our community,” said Penny Porter, CEO of United Way of the Eastern Panhandle.

United Way of the Eastern Panhandle is a volunteer-driven organization that serves the residents of Berkeley, Morgan and Jefferson counties through its own programs and services and those of its partner agencies. The organization works to advance the common good by focusing on the building blocks for a good life – education, financial stability, health, and basic needs.

“This generous donation from Procter & Gamble will significantly enhance our ability to reach more individuals and families across the Eastern Panhandle,” added Porter.
