Day of Caring

Day of Caring

With projects ranging from weeding and planting flowers to installing carpet and building decks and wheelchair ramps, hundreds of volunteers throughout the Panhandle are hard at work on the annual Day of Caring during September.

After a kickoff breakfast and pep rally for volunteers and organizers in each of the three counties, volunteers take off for projects requested by the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle's dozens of non-profit partner agencies.

Volunteers perform a variety of tasks thoughout the day that help individuals and non-profit organizations.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of labor is completed in Berkeley, Jefferson, and Morgan counties on Day of Caring each year.
