This one-day workshop is an introductory, beginner’s course on researching prospective corporate and foundation funders (using Foundation Center “Cooperating Collection” resources housed at Shepherd’s Scarborough Library) and the elements that create a fundable grant request. The session is lead by Amy Owen, who has more than 12 years experience in fundraising and currently serves as the executive director of the Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation.

Developing a Fundraising Plan

If your organization needs to develop a fundraising plan, where do you start? How do you create priorities? Who leads? This session will help participants create a draft plan that addresses key sources of funds: workplace giving, corporate giving, foundation grants, annual gifts, major donors, special events, and fee for service. The session is lead by Amy Owen, who has more than 12 years experience in fundraising and currently serves as the executive director of the Eastern West Virginia Community. Fees cover lunch and materials.
