Simply put, donations received by the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle, Inc. go directly to the Eastern Panhandle community which includes the West Virginia counties of Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan.
Dollars are donated in two ways:
1) Donor-directed dollars to an organization of choice
2) Non-designated dollars, which United Way volunteers determine how to invest
While the majority of our partners belong to our Combined Federal Campaign, many also receive funding from our local campaign for basic needs and for community solutions. Basic needs programs provide financial resources and support, such as food, emergency shelter and health care, for low income familes. Community solutions address the goals and target issues developed by teams of community volunteers.
