Community Builder Award

The Community Builder Award is in recognition of selfless-service in addressing the most pressing needs of our community.  Awardees have demonstrated a commitment to developing community solutions which nurture children, build strong families and increase the independence of seniors.  As community builders they are dedicated to making enduring changes in the lives of our community members.  Thanks to their community building efforts our community is a better place to live, work and raise a family.

The Community Builder Award is presented to the Working Group Chairs and members of the Eastern Panhandle Health and Human Service Collaborative.  Identifying community problems can be easy.  Finding and implementing the solutions requires creative thinking, resource sharing, and engaging all sectors of the community.  That’s exactly what the Eastern Panhandle Health and Human Services Collaborative (HHSC) achieves in a unique manner and these members of the Collaborative are the type of dedicated visionaries who can truly be called Community Builders.  Our 2008 awardees are Dave Miller and Grace Murphy
