Community Health Resource Website CDC's Division of Adult and Community Health recently unveiled the "Community Health Resources Web site," a new database that can help you plan, implement, and evaluate community health initiatives that address chronic diseases and health disparities. The Web site, http://www.cdc.gov/communityhealthresources , serves as a single source for finding CDC's best web-based materials. The Web site features direct links to hundreds of resources, including program guidelines and recommendations, campaign materials, handbooks, fact sheets, evaluation frameworks, and behavioral and risk factor data, among other topics. The development of the Web site emerged from CDC's partnership with the YMCA of the USA (YMCA). Through our work with the YMCA's Pioneering Healthier Communities program, we learned that community leaders and organizations trust CDC's credible data and resources but have difficulty locating materials on the Internet. The Community Health Resources Web site makes it easier for community based organizations, advocates, and public health practitioners to access health prevention and promotion materials. We are extremely excited about the Community Health Resources Web site and invite you to visit it often for resources. For more information about the Web site, please contact DACH's Community Health and Program Services Branch at (770) 488-5426, or CDC-INFO at CCDinfo@cdc.gov.
