Applying For United Way Dollars

The United Way of the Eastern Panhandle, Inc. provides two different types of funding: 

 

1.  Community Solutions dollars support programs and strategies to meet our goals:

Education 

GOAL:  Increase the percentage of Eastern Panhandle students who graduate from high school. (Thriving Children)

Income

GOAL:  Increase the number of low-income families who are financially stable and independent.   (Strong Families)

 Health 

GOAL:  Increase the number of youth who are healthy and avoid risky behavior.  (Thriving Children)

GOAL:  Increase the number of adults age 18 – 55 who have good health status and avoid risky behaviors. (Strong Families).

To apply for Community Solutions dollars, use the RFP.

 

2.  Basic Needs/Crisis Services dollars are used to provide financial resources and supportive services for individuals and families with a demonstrated financial need. 

Funded services are limited to financial and material assistance, food, utilities, crisis health services and emergency shelter adn support for no.low income individuals.

 To apply for basic needs funding, use the application.

Thriving Children Evaluation

If you submit a basic application, expect a site visit sometime between April 23 and May 11.

If you submit a proposal, MARK YOUR CALENDAR for May 9 to meet with Community Solutions Councils.  Appointment times  will be announced after all proposals are received.
